One of the
startling statistic is that 33 percent of all new
businesses fail within the first two years. That
number is much higher when you look at the first
five years. The problem is that many young
entrepreneurs are ignoring both of these statistics
and we know, statistics do not lie.
The simple fact
is that many of them simply do not know what all is
involved and just how complex it can be. The success
in business is all about just stay on Do not give
up till the end. They do not want to follow someone
who has achieved before. That's "The big mistake!" Believe it or
not, innovation might be the key to the survival of new
businesses!
What is the main
secret behind all successful entrepreneurs?
The main secret
is how to get Motivation (A driving force) for
business. In order to accomplish anything, you need
a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A
wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A
wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can
drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.
That is why "Entrepreneur Success Stories" would like
to do it for you today through our education here at
Credit Plus Health.
A report shows
Motivation can change our mind for success. That’s
why some successful entrepreneurs are talking about
success mindset theory. That means you can get
success by changing your mind for success.
Today, we have
Juliette Knox, Founder and CEO of "The Little Black
Dress Empire" (TLBDE), the driving force behind
TLBDE, to share with us her secrets of her
entrepreneurial leadership on how she runs and
manages all aspects of the TLBDE's operation.
We
believe she has that successful mindset to run a
very niche traditional retailer business model
through innovative means packaged with the right
branding and marketing for her quality products and
services.
"The Onassis Sequins
Dress by Designer
ae'lkemi
is one of my favorites and it is just so
glamorous!" - Juliette Knox, Co-Founder and CEO of TLBDE.
We interviewed
Juliette on how she got the vision to start “The
Little Black Dress Empire” and she has this to share
with us personally.
“My initial vision
was a plain simple vision of creating the world’s
most reputable online platform for selling and
promoting the staple wardrobe classic – The Little
Black Dress! The name The Little Black Dress Empire
came to me the very same day the idea did and that
has become our brand ever since!”
According to
her, the brand conjured up visions of sophistication
and class and it evoked images of a place where the
most beautiful black designer dresses could be found
in one spot.
“My vision came to me
so clear, so strong and it felt so right that I knew
I have to pursue it.”
She shared that
the challenges of an entrepreneur are many and the
first of her many challenges in setting up “The
Little Black Dress Umpire" (TLBDE) already presented
itself immediately.
“I knew nothing about
trading online, so I focused on what I did know
A. I knew I did not want to be
tied to a physical store (I like my freedom) and
B. I knew I wanted a
global audience. So then I took what I didn’t know
and delegated to my now business partner Craig Tong!
I have the vision and deal
with the designers, our users, marketing and the
promotional side of the business and my business
partner is the bridge between us and the internet
and all technical aspects of the business.”
She elaborated
“The Little Black Dress Empire” as seen today has by
no mean been an easy task, the idea and business
plan has been changed and adopted many time to both
internal and external environmental influences.
“I understand now that
successful businesses must always change, evolve and
adapt to survive. One major influence which springs
to mind was the Global Financial Crisis. When the
GFC hit we had to immediately change and remodel our
business plan to lower the risks involved, as we
were now about to start our new business venture
when consumer confidence was at an all time historic
low."
The next
challenge to face was very little financial
resources.
“I had close to
nothing when starting the business so this was
always emotionally draining and made start-up a
massive struggle constantly. I knew that if I had
more money, things would have move a lot faster but
I had to take the long, slow hard road to pull the
project together. We had just enough money to employ
PunkLogic to develop the platform and to enlist the
help of our now CTO Rene Zeestraten.”
With the
complete dedication of everyone involved and
constant support from her family and working
endlessly around the clock “The Little Black Dress
Empire” finally launched two years after the initial
vision came to her!
“Starting a new
business is challenging and yet unbelievable
rewarding and if there is only one thing this whole
journey had taught me is that -
“You only get out of
it what you put in!”
If you have a dream -
“Go for
it!”
Never give up and
when hurdles of any nature hinder your path and you
feel like you can see no way, put your head up, look
around and find a way, make your dream your life!”
Entrepreneur

heights is not as far as it may seem and Juliette
Knox has shared and showed us how it can be achieved
in your business. Although your business models and goals might

you need to be an extraordinary entrepreneur who not
